John R. McAlister

John is a graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Business and minors in Education, History and Military Science.  John has over 30 years of experience in insurance, marketing and management.  

He has been a stock broker and career agent with two leading insurance companies.  Since 1986 he has owned SourceBenefits in Columbus, OH and serves on the Board of Directors of Insurance Advisors, Inc. 

John and his wife Sally have been married for over 30 years and have two grown and happily married children and two grandchildren.  His hobbies include bicycling, hiking and political philosophy.  He has served on the Board of Directors for the DownsizeDC Foundation, and during the 2000 election he was the Libertarian Party Candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio.  He also serves on City Council in the Columbus suburb of Gahanna.
